Brandon Truter announced as Richards Bay’s new head coach

Richards Bay became the second club to change coach on the eve of the new Premier Soccer League season when they announced Brandon Truter as their new coach for the coming season. He has signed a contract for the season with a renewal clause, the club said on Wednesday.

He previously worked at the club while they were still in the National First Division and replaces Vusi Vilakazi, who was shown the door earlier this week. Richards Bay are the second club to make a coaching change in the last weeks with Marumo Gallants appointing Dan Malesela in place of Dylan Kerr.

Kerr was named a new coach last month as Gallants bought the franchise of Moroka Swallows and announced they were moving to Bloemfontein.

But he walked out after three weeks of frustrating dispute with management and has since been replaced by Dan Malesela.
