Boity Thulo empathises with the people who don’t get to self-isolate amid South Africa’s lockdown – She’s hoping the general workers who will risk their lives for the country will receive better salaries – Many of these workers are paid minimum wages but are expected to show up for work.
Boity Thulo’s feeling very bad for the people who have to work while most of South Africa goes into lockdown for three weeks. The majority of businesses will have their doors closed but essential services will remain available during this time. This means that many general workers will have to continue working despite earning a minimum wage (sometimes less) and Boity is sad for them.

As reported on by Briefly.co.za earlier, companies that are essential to the production and transportation of food, basic goods and medical supplies will remain open. Everyone who is not involved in these vital services will be expected to stay home during the lockdown. Boity supports the hope that these people will receive better salaries once the lockdown is something of the past.
