Summary of responsibility
Provide excellent quality service of all mechanical and electrical repairs
Must have the ability to perform complex electrical and mechanical diagnosing
Provide the best quality service to all customers by having a high level of communication skills and to work in a team environment
Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors and foreman
Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand or power tools
Requirements
4 years completed as a qualified automotive technician (equivalent to Canadian Red Seal)
5-10 years BMW dealership experience
10 years technician automotive experience
A strong knowledge of new model X5 and 7 series
Proficient with diesel and hybrid engines
Proficient at using Era Ignite
Efficiency 110% or above
Experience in diagnosing older vehicles 1980-2010 mechanically and electronically
TIPs case management experience
EV certified
Certified diesel repair experience
WIZ software experience
Experience with MB warranty claims and operation code usage
CDK/ADP experience
Excellent quality service of all mechanical and electrical repairs
Educational requirements:
Completed a Qualfied Automotive Technician program at an equivalent level to the Canadian Red Seal Journeyman Ticket
BMW Certified or Master Tech Training
BMW i Training
Electrical or mechanical engineering degree preferred
Wage
$28 per hour before probation is complete

Qualifications
No prior criminal record
Valid drivers license and ability to obtain an International Driver’s Permit to operate a vehicle in Canada

Computer skills are an asset
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
