Together with Knox Mutizwa, they put the Celtic defence under all sorts of pressure with their constant pressing.

However, Tshegofatso Mabaso handed Steve Komphela’s charges the lead in the 22nd minute, netting his second goal of the season.

Lamola had a chance to equalise for Arrows in the half-hour mark after going clear on goal, but Phunya Sele Sele shot-stopper Patrick Tignyemb made a good save to deny the striker.

Lantshene Phalane almost doubled the lead for Siwelele five minutes before the break with a long-range strike but his effort sailed over the bar, as the visitors took a 1-0 lead into the break.

Kabelo Dlamini made it 2-0 for Siwelele five minutes after the break after finding himself one-on-one with Arrows goalkeeper Nkosingiphile Gumede after a swift counter-attack.

The Free State side was managing the game well with 20 minutes to go, while Arrows were finding it tough to carve out chances in the final third.

Arrows continued to pressurise Siwelele in the closing minutes but Komphela’s men stayed compact at the back to clinch all the three points.
