#BeingBonangS3: Has Boity Thulo Replaced Lorna Maseko?

There are only a handful of reality television shows in South Africa that have the capacity to create anticipation from the audience. Being Bonang is a definite hit in these streets and the B Force always goes hard for their Queen.

Bonang Matheba and Lorna Maseko

Season 3 of Being Bonang hit the screens last night and as usual, it was a trending topic on social media. The show follows the day to day chronicles of Bonang Matheba.
What has remained prevalent is that Bonang has mostly kept a small circle of friends throughout the previous seasons including characters such as her cousin and best friend, Tebogo ‘PinkyGirl’ Mekgwe and a few regular acquaintances. However, viewers were treated to a new feature in Bonang’s close circle – Boity Thulo.

Now, we all know that television presenter and professional chef, Lorna Maseko was a constant feature on the show and in Bonang’s real life. However, we couldn’t help but notice that she is no longer in the broader scheme of Bonang’s life. With the introduction of Boity, could she have replaced Lorna Maseko for good?
Tweeps questioned Boity’s presence in Bonang‘s life with some even doubting her authenticity.

Have things really fallen apart between Lorns and Queen B?. Not too long ago, ZAlebs wrote a piece regarding the state of the star’s friendship. From vacationing together to supporting each other on their respective business ventures- they were always together.

Recently, Lorna Maseko celebrated her 36th birthday in absolute style. Those closest to her were invited to the stellar do, however, we couldn’t help but notice that Bonang was not present. Was this a sign that indeed, they’re no longer friends?
