Babes Wodumo hinted that she may release new music but most people on Twitter seemed unbothered. After seeing her name trending alongside Mampintsha’s, Babes Wodumo hinted that she might be releasing music without any features or assistance.
This seemed to hint at the fact that Mampintsha is a feature artist on pretty much all of Babes Wodumo’s songs in her career so far and this seemed to be the clearest hint yet that she’s about to change that. Unfortunately for her, not too many of her fans are excited about the prospective new single.
The moment she shared the tweet, it was greeted with negativity from the timeline as fans questioned her relevance, as well as the identity of the person behind the keyboard. It’s no secret that Babes’ Twitter account is not the most secure right now, after she was hacked for close to 2 months last year.
Might drop a song alone without any feature #BabesMampintsha

The reactions to her hint about a solo release were probably not what she was hoping for:

It’s been a controversial week for Babes Wodumo and her fans. The singer was supposed to feature on Moja Love’s controversial docu-series, Impilo with her on-and-off lover Mampintsha. Bizarrely, the couple changed their minds at the last minute and a court interdict stopped the show from airing. Do you believe that Babes Wodumo has what it takes to clean up her image and launch a comeback?
