Duties and responsibilities:
Capture test marks, assignments (undergraduate as well as postgraduate) and all exam marks of the department on the PeopleSoft and Gradebook systems.
Perform general office administrative duties e.g. typing letters in Afrikaans and English to internal staff, students and public, handling enquiries in Afrikaans and Dutch and English, filing, making photocopies and related duties.
Oversee internal and external exam/test moderation processes.
Liaise with lecturers regarding processes related to moderation.
Liaise with students as required.
Assist postgraduate students with online registration, title registrations, etc.
Liaise with the exam department as required.
Assist the Programme Director and the Teaching and Learning Manager with the compilation of the departmental timetable for classes, exams, as well as student registrations.
Coordinate and perform duties related to departmental tests and assignments in Afrikaans and Dutch.
Provide the Head of Department with support as required from time to time.
Perform other general office duties as assigned.
Handle Blackboard related posts in Afrikaans.
Handle RIMS information of academic staff and research associates.
Take minutes of departmental meetings in Afrikaans and/ or English when requested.

Inherent requirements:
Grade 12 or National Vocational Certificate on NQF level 4.
Proven competency in Afrikaans Home Language on Grade 12 level.

Recommendations:
One (1) year relevant working experience related to the duties and responsibilities indicated above.
Sound knowledge of the subject Afrikaans and/or Afrikaans and Dutch (second-year module) on a home language competency level (grade 12 results).
Familiar with the PeopleSoft system.
Proven knowledge of Blackboard and other UFS IT-systems.
Required competencies:

Salary: The salary scale is available on request.
