Matric
Finance Qualification
A minimum of 3 years Creditors and Debtors experience
Understanding of VAT and TAX
Understanding of Accounts and creditors and debtors reconciliation process
Planning, prioritizing and time management skills – able to meet deadlines
Analyzing, problem solving and investigative skills
Good communication skills, verbal and written (able to compile letters and correspondence)
Good telephone etiquette
Computer literate (Outlook, MS Excel & MS Word and Accounting Applications )
Understanding of company functions and infrastructure
Duties and responsibilities:
Reconciliation of accounts (debtors and creditors)
Ensuring that debtors invoices and deposits are correct
Processing month end
Booking keeping to trial balance
Assist with preparation of audit
Must be able to complete statuary returns such as SARS, UIF, tax
Assist with payroll processes
Process invoices and verify documentation (Purchase orders and accounts payable)
Ensure that Purchase orders are signed
Collect all Purchase orders, delivery notes and Debtors invoices, matching and reconcile to statement
Ensure all documents are filed correctly
Compile remittance advice and keep track of credits and debits
Follow up on outstanding invoices and delivery notes
Query discrepancies with suppliers
Request statements from suppliers
Liaise with contract managers, procurement department and suppliers to resolve queries
Able to aptly complete credit applications
