Meghan Markle’s first Thanksgiving as a royal

Meghan Markle celebrated her very first Thanksgiving as a member of the British royal family on Thursday night – but don’t count on any turkey snaps.

It has been exactly a year since Meghan celebrated Thanksgiving with her mother, Doria Ragland in Los Angeles.

Just four days later on Monday, 27 November 2017 she and Prince Harry officially announced their engagement, People magazine reports.

The year before, in 2016, Meghan shared a mouth-watering snap of a “pretty perfect Thanksgiving turkey” which she prepared for the festive holiday on her now-deleted Instagram page.

So, how did the former Toronto resident spend the American holiday in her new home country?

According to Hello! magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made sure to have no engagements scheduled on Thursday, 22 November and planned to spend it together.

Meghan reportedly went all out to spoil Prince Harry with all the trimmings that come when celebrating the holiday, Hollywood Life reported.

A source told the publication: “Meghan loves being a newlywed and loves spoiling Harry. She is planning to host an American style Thanksgiving feast at her new Kensington Palace apartment and she’s going to be making it all from scratch.”

Meghan made an official return visit to the Hubb Community Kitchen in west London earlier this week.
