Pictures: ANC t-shirts cause stampede

There was a stampede for ANC T-shirts at ANC’s campaign where majority of the party supporters waited in vain for President Ramaphosa to address them during elections campaign in Extension 71 outside Polokwane in Limpopo.

At first there were three ques allocated for supporters to be given T-shirts but due to the large number, people started pushing each other towards a bakkie which was carrying the T-shirts.

Police had to come in a police taxi to restore order.

A lady who was pushed to the ground said marshallbs who are handing over t-shirts supposed to have came with a better stratergy.

“There should have a line for old people than putting us in same lines with youth. They said there will be food for us but till now we haven’t eaten.” She said.

President Ramaphosa is in Polokwane canvassing support and popularizing ANC Manifesto around Seshego and Polokwane Extension 71.

President’s programme commenced with the him paying a courtesy visit to Kgoshi Kgabo Moloto III and proceeded by door to door and community meetings.
