Former Free State ANC Interim Provincial Committee convenor Mxolisi Dukwana is the new provincial chairperson.
Dukwana went head to head against the province’s premier, Sisi Ntombela.
He defeated her by 40 votes after the long-delayed conference.
Ketso Makume is the new ANC Free State Deputy Chair and Poleliso Motsoeneng is the provincial Secretary-General.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to close the conference on Sunday.
