AKA’s murder suspects were allegedly paid R800 000

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed that six suspects were arrested in connection with the murder of AKA and his friend Tibz. A year after their untimely death, the SAPS has given another huge update on the case.

During a briefing, KZN SAPS Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi said four suspects are in custody, with the other two still in Eswatini waiting for repatriation.

The police gave a timeline of what happened and how the suspects carried out their attack. However, the police revealed that the coordinator, the ‘master of everything,’ paid all the suspects.

The six suspects include two shooters, two spotters, a coordinator, and the organizer of firearms and vehicles. The coordinator seemingly assembled the team and gave the calls. However, the dots about the person giving him instructions have yet to be connected.

However, the police did not disclose the amount paid to suspects, leaving many trying to connect the dots about it. Despite the police keeping the amount under wraps, news outlets in Eswatini have since revealed the alleged amount. Reports have it that R800 000 was paid to AKA’s murder suspects.

Rumour mill from Eswatini has that there is transactional evidence of the payments. However, all the suspects will appear before the court on Thursday. The police have yet to share more details about the court proceedings.

However, police confirmed during the media briefing that they had a strong case against the suspects. Well, let’s dive into key points from the police briefing.
