Aftersales Specialist required for Transformer Manufacturing firm situated on the East Rand to assist with the projects, after-sales service, marketing, and project management with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the transformer manufacturing industry and Bachelor Degree or N Diploma in Engineering
Reporting to:
The Project Manager
Experience Required:
A minimum of 5 years’ transformer manufacturing experience
After-sales service, marketing and project management skills
Experience using planning in Syspro, Excel and Projects
The ability to influence decisions across all senior levels of management
Excellent documentation skills with experience of creating supporting documentation
Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree or N Diploma Engineering or equivalent experience
Authority:
Ensures that transformers manufactured by the Client are produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality specifications
Ensures that transformers are ready to distribute to customers at the agreed time
Improve the company’s production and distribution processes.
Responsibilities:
Plan and organise the transport of new transformers to site including rigging
Plan and organise the assembly of transformers on site
Plan and organise cold commission of transformers on site
Coordinate the relocation of transformers from one site to another from enquiry stage to cold commissioning and handover including estimating and quoting
Plan and coordinate inspection and associated repairs to transformers on site (warranty and others) including costing and quoting
Requisition materials and subcontractors for site work
Assist finance department with debtors, creditors and other customer queries
Obtain information from Sales Department regarding order intake and revenue requirements and prepare programme schedule to meet the customer requirements
Coordinate the Design Department for customer electrical design and drawings approval
Keep regular checks on the progress of orders received and develop weekly and monthly schedules for WO Planning and follow up on the schedule so that the orders are executed in time
Realise customer inspection dates
Keep accurate record of inventories of materials and components involved in the manufacture of transformers
Manage the changes in the production schedule, update procurement schedule and subsequently change the inventory requirements
Monitor production and raw material costs
Liaise with suppliers and relevant stakeholders to ensure that material will be available when required
Establish the inventory control of completed transformers
Suggest alternative plans of action in case of emergency
Prepare reports about production processes for management and suggest ways to improve efficiency
Initiate work orders on hand planning meetings
