Richards Bay Minerals open after second shut down
KZN Premier, Sihle Zikalala says strides have been made to eliminate violence in areas around Richards Bay Minerals on Wednesday. The shut down was due to ongoing violence in which two workers were shot.
According to Zikalala the mine has since been opened and is currently operational. At least four suspected copper thieves were arrested last week. Zikalala said, “we’ve managed to deal with the situation. We’ve ensured police are there and that workers are protected and improve security around that area.
