Verskaf ondersteuning aan die Fakulteitsadministrateur: Sentrum vir Studente Administrasie (Tygerbergkampus), wat toepaslike studente-aangeleenthede van die Fakulteit
Geneeskunde en Gesondheidswetenskappe (FGGW) betref;
Hantering van navrae van FGGW studente, voornemende studente, ouers, akademiese personeel en eksterne belanghebbendes;
Voorbereiding en verspreiding van elektroniese agendas van die volgende fakulteitspesifieke komitees: Komitee vir Voorgraadse Onderrig, Komitee vir Nagraadse Onderrig,
Fakulteitskomitee en Fakulteitsraad;
Hantering van rapporte, notules en korrespondensie wat uit fakulteitspesifieke komitees voortspruit;
Hantering van FGGW Magistertesisse wat vir eksaminering ingedien word;
Instandhouding van sekere FGGW databasisse en die byhou van elektroniese verspreidingslyste;
Uitreik van nagraadse FGGW aansoekvorms en hantering van verwante navrae;
Uitreik van bewyse van registrasie, akademiese rekords en graadsertifikate van FGGW studente en Alumni;
Hantering van Raad op Gesondheidsberoepe van Suid Afrika (RGSA)-registrasie van eerste jaar MB,ChB en Gesondheidswetenskappe studente en Suid-Afrikaanse Raad op
Verpleging (SARV)-registrasie van eerste jaar Verpleegkunde studente;
Hantering van liassering;
Byhou van boekelyste van voorgraadse studente;
Verrigting van ad hoc-take soos operasioneel vereis.

Providing support to the Faculty Administrator: Centre for Student Administration (Tygerberg Campus), which concerns all relevant student matters of the Faculty of Medicine and
Health Sciences (FMHS);
Handling enquiries from FMHS students, prospective students, parents, academic staff and external stakeholders;
Preparing and disseminating electronic agendas of the following faculty-specific committees: Committee for Undergraduate Teaching, Committee for Postgraduate Teaching, Faculty
Committee and Faculty Board;
Handling reports, minutes and correspondence arising from faculty-specific committees;
Handling FMHS Master’s theses submitted for examination;
Maintaining certain FMHS databases and electronic distribution lists;
Issuing postgraduate FMHS application forms and dealing with related queries;
Issuing evidence of registration, academic records and degree certificates of FMHS students and Alumni;
Handling Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) registration for first-year MB,ChB and Health Sciences students and South African Nursing Council (SANC) registration
of first-year Nursing students;
Handling of filing;
Keeping book lists of undergraduate students;
Executing ad hoc tasks as required operationally.

‘n Toepaslike naskoolse sertifikaat;
Minstens drie jaar toepaslike ervaring binne ‘n hoër onderwysinstelling, OF minstens vyf jaar administratiewe ervaring;
Bewese vermoë om uiters noukeurig te werk en om vertroulikheid te handhaaf;
Bewese organiserings-, beplannings-, prioritiserings- en administratiewe vaardighede;
Bewese vermoë om effektief onder druk te funksioneer en by streng sperdatums te hou;
Bewese vermoë om agendas op te stel en notules van vergaderings te neem;
Goeie kommunikasievaardighede en bewese vermoë om doeltreffend binne ‘n meertalige en multikulturele omgewing te funksioneer;
Vermoë om probleem- en konfliksituasies op ‘n diplomatiese wyse te hanteer;
Uitstekende interpersoonlike verhoudinge met studente, kollegas en ander belanghebbendes;
Bewese rekenaarvaardighede wat ‘n grondige kennis van die Microsoft Office-pakket insluit;
Bewese ervaring van databasisbestuur;
Die vermoë om in ‘n span saam te werk;
Bereidwilligheid en beskikbaarheid om soms ongereelde ure te werk.

A relevant post matric certificate;
At least three years’ relevant experience within a higher education institution, OR at least five years’ administrative experience;
Proven ability to work with high attention to detail and maintain confidentiality;
Proven organizational, planning, prioritizing and administrative skills;
Proven ability to function effectively under pressure and to keep to strict deadlines;
Proven ability to draft agendas and compile minutes of meetings;
Good communication skills and proven ability to effectively function within a multi-lingual and multi-cultural environment;
Ability to manage problem and conflict situations in a diplomatic manner;
Excellent interpersonal relationships with students, colleagues and other stakeholders;
Proven computer literacy which includes sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office package;
Proven experience in database management;
The ability to work as part of a team;
Willingness and availability to work irregular hours at times.

‘n Drie-jaar tersiêre kwalifikasie;
Ervaring en kennis van die gesondheidswetenskappe-konteks;
Bewese rekord van student-gesentreerde dienslewering;
Bewese ervaring van die sagteware wat binne die US gebruik word.

A three-year tertiary qualification;
Experience and knowledge of the health sciences context;
Proven record of student-centered service delivery;
