An index gauging the level of activity in the manufacturing sector shows its activity has expanded for a tenth consecutive month in May and at a faster pace.
Earlier this week, unemployment data by Stats SA revealed the manufacturing sector had created 263,000 jobs in the first three months of the year. The latest purchasing managers index by Absa shows new sales orders index saw a significant recovery.
