It seems Black Brain productions’ Mandla N was out for blood with the upcoming season of his hit prison drama, Lockdown as he has been adding everybody and their mama to the cast for season 3.
The latest addition to the team is veteran actress, Thembi Nyandeni, who will play Minister Mazibuko, the show’s Minister of Correctional Services.
She currently plays Mkabayi Zungu, the tough-talking matriarch of the Zungu family and the older sister of Mpiyakhe Zungu, in the Mzansi Magic telenovela-turned-soap-opera isiBaya.
She has previously had roles in productions such as Zone14, Jacob’s Cross, 90 Plein Street, Generations and Kwa’khala Nyonini.
Nyandeni becomes the latest addition to the Lockdown team after Manaka Ranaka, Dineo Nchabeleng, Mabatho Mmonthso and Tichina Arnold.
