Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) student Zolile Khumalo, who was killed allegedly by her ex-boyfriend, will be laid to rest on Saturday.
Thabani Mzolo appeared briefly in the Durban Magistrate’s Court earlier in the week.
He is accused of shooting Khumalo in the face and arm at her MUT residence in full view of her roommate, before confessing to her murder her on Facebook.
Mzolo is also charged with the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
