A woman was killed while attempting to cross the northbound lane of the R102 in Mt. Edgecombe. Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by a passing motorist requesting assistance for the critically injured woman. Upon arrival, she was assessed by Medics and found to have sustained life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.
It is alleged that the pedestrian was attempting to cross the four-lane road during peak traffic when she was run over by a Toyota Corolla. The deceased has been identified. The occupants of the Toyota Corolla were not injured in the accident. Below are a few pictures from the accident scene…
