Woman critically injured in Vanderbijlpark rollover

At 12H30 Friday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the corners of Ravel Street and Vaal River Drive in Sylviavale AH, Vanderbijlpark.

Reports from the scene indicate that two light delivery vehicle were involved in a collision resulting in one of the bakkies rolling several times.

Paramedics assessed the scene and found that an adult female was ejected from the bakkie during the rollover and was driven over by another vehicle.

Woman Injured in Accident

The patient sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise her. Two other patients from the bakkie had sustained minor injuries, the patients were assessed on the scene and found to be in a stable condition.

After the assessment, the two patients had declined ambulance transportation to the hospital. The seriously injured patient was treated on the scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.

MEC Spokesperson Labels Idols twins ugly. Transport and Public Works MEC Bonginkosi Madikizela’s spokesperson, Ntomboxolo Makoba-Somdaka, has stirred controversy for implying that the Qwabe twins are bad looking.

In a move that has irked displeasure in some social circles, she updated her WhatsApp status to emotionally and psychologically abuse Idols contestants, the Qwabe twins, by labelling them “Zimbi ke ezi twins #Idols”, which roughly translates to “these twins are ugly”.

As if to demean the twins’ popularity, Somdaka’s unfortunate sentiments, came after Viggy and Virginia Qwabe had made it to the top 17 of Idols on Sunday. read more
