At 11H04 Saturday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N7 direction Malmesbury.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle, a 54-year-old female lost control of her vehicle resulting in the vehicle crashing into a ditch.
The patient was assessed on scene by an Advanced life support paramedic and found to have sustained serious injuries.
Due to the nature of her injuries the Netcare 6 specialised helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift the seriously injured woman to hospital for further treatment.
