Gauteng: At 06H29 Wednesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Heidelberg Road in Alberton.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control resulting in the vehicle rolling down an embankment coming to rest upside down on railway tracks.
Medics assessed the patient an adult female who had sustained serious injuries.
She was treated on scene by Advanced Life support paramedics who activated the Netcare 911 Helicopter ambulance.
Once stabilised the patient was airlifted to a specialist facility for the care she required.

Veteran actress Mary Twala’s funeral will take place tomorrow morning. A statement released on behalf of her famous son Somizi Mhlongo on Wednesday morning confirmed the funeral details.
