Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have welcomed baby girl via surrogate. The 46-year-old actress revealed the good news in an Instagram post on Thursday night.
In the post, Gabrielle shared three pictures of herself and her basketball player husband holding the newborn at the hospital.
“We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that our miracle baby arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the loveliest of all the lovely days. Welcome to the party sweet girl!” she wrote in the caption.
This is Gabrielle’s first child while Dwyane has three other children from previous relationships: Zaire, Xavier and Zion.
Gabrielle has been open about her struggles to conceive in the past, even mentioning that she has had nine miscarriages.
In her book, We’re Going to Need More Wine, she wrote: “For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant – I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.”
The Being Mary Jane star has been married to Wade since 2014 but they’ve been together since 2009. In 2013 they split up briefly, but got back together.
