Vox has announced a new WiFi solution specifically designed for coffee shops, restaurants and other smaller service businesses. WiFi has become something of a required value-add for the aforementioned businesses. Whether folks are just trying to keep up-to-date with the goings-on around the world or like us, working from the coffee shop or restaurant, WiFi is a requirement.

The solution reportedly does away with slow speeds, dead spots and weak signal. In addition, Vox includes a marketing engine in the solution that allows a business to stay in touch with loyal customers.

“Even though other providers might have been tempted to leave it as an off-the-shelf solution, we wanted to provide retailers with a truly unique offering. To this end, our product is completely flexible and customisable to the needs of each customer. There is also a customisable WiFi landing page that offers the end-users several ways of logging in, including using their social media profiles, email address, cell phone number, or completing a questionnaire,” said the head of wireless at Vox, Jacques Visser.

The business needs to have existing internet access, alternatively, Vox can provide cost-effective connectivity depending on the unique requirements of the retailer.

Vox says that installation fees start at R2 185 for a basic plan that it suitable for an open plan area with under 100 users. Contracts can be taken up over a 12, 24 or 36-month terms and pricing starts at R702.73 per month.
