Valencia 0 – 3 Ajax #ChampionsLeague

Hakim Ziyech scored a brilliant opener as Ajax continued to impress in the Champions League with a convincing victory in Valencia.

He hit a 25-yard strike into the top corner before Valencia captain Dani Parejo blazed a penalty over the bar.

Donny van de Beek picked out Quincy Promes to double unbeaten Ajax’s lead before Ziyech and Valencia’s Rodrigo hit the woodwork.

Van de Beek ran on to Dusan Tadic’s pass to score an Ajax third.

Since the start of last season, only Lionel Messi, with 12 goals and four assists, has been involved in more Champions League goals than Tadic, who has six goals and seven assists – he also set up Ziyech’s opener.

Despite selling several key players in the summer, last year’s semi-finalists Ajax have won both group games 3-0 – they beat Lille at home in their opener – after coming through two rounds of qualifying.

Their next two Champions League games are against Chelsea, who won 201 at Lille on Wednesday.
