Gauteng Social Development MEC Nandi Mayathula-Nkosi will visit a crèche in Carltonville on Thursday afternoon after videos emerged on social media of a teacher assaulting toddlers.
The teacher was reportedly arrested last week and appeared in court.
In the video, the teacher is seen lowering the little girl’s pants and repeatedly slapping her buttocks before hitting her on the head several times.
It is understood the teacher was angry that the little girl had vomited on a table.
She was heard saying “why did you vomit? Why did you vomit?”
Two other videos were posted on social media, allegedly of the same teacher assaulting other children.
