Gauteng: At 14H24 Wednesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Eufees Avenue in Florida Park Roodepoort. Reports from the scene indicate that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision.
Medics assessed the scene and found that two people had sustained fatal injuries and were sadly declared deceased on the scene. Four other people sustained serious injuries and were treated on scene by Advanced Life support paramedics.
Due to the nature of two of the patients injuries the Netcare 8 specialised helicopter ambulance was called to rapidly airlift them to hospital.
The two other seriously injured patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on scene to investigate.
