Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 0 – 2 SuperSport United #DStvPrem

SuperSport United moved into the second position on the DStv Premiership standings with a 2-0 victory over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on Sunday.

Grant Kekana, Jamie Webber and Lucky Mohomi came into the starting lineup for Kaitano Tembo’s side.

SuperSport had the first good attempt on goal. Ndivhuwo Ravhuhali unleashed a thunderous strike from well out which rattled off the crossbar before Thatayaone Ditlhokwe cleared the rebound.

Soon after, a long ball was played by Mbule for Ghampani Lungu, who cracked it on the half volley but it went wide.

TTM had their first good attempt only on the stroke of half-time. Celimpilo Ngema played in Edgar Manaka who fired from close range at the near post. Ronwen Williams came off his line and saved the effort.

Matsatsantsa took the lead on the hour mark. Lucky Mohomi did brilliantly to set up Bradley Grobler, who rifled the ball towards goal from range and it went in after a fumble from TTM goalie Brighton Mhlongo.

Mbule banged in the second for Matsatsantsa from close range, with Kudakwashe Mahachi providing an inch-perfect cross.

Mbule was hungry for a brace as he fired from range soon afterwards but Mhlongo saved the effort.

Ravhuhali was in the action again he fired from a free-kick but Williams had it covered and saved at the near post as Matsatsantsa extended their unbeaten run in the league to nine games.

In Other News – Cape Town City 4 – 2 Golden Arrows #DStvPrem

Golden Arrows’ unbeaten start to the season in the DStv Premiership came to an end after a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Cape Town City on Sunday afternoon.

The Citizens were unchanged for the encounter while Arrows made only one alteration, as Matome Mathiane returned to the line-up at the expense of Siboniso Conco. learn more
