They started it. That’s the word from Transport Minister, Fikile Mbalula. He says he was only responding to Umkhonto WeSizwe Military Veterans Association president Kebby Maphatsoe and spokesperson Carl Niehaus.
On Monday, Mbalula launched a scathing attack on Twitter, labelling Maphatsoe a coward and Niehaus a thug.
The twitter war erupted after the veterans said Mbalula must be held accountable for the collapse of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa’s infrastructure, which happened the watch of Mbalula. The ANC has reprimanded Mbalula for his tweets.
