The Socialist Party in Zambia has launched monthly newsletter

The Socialist Party says the high cost of living makes it difficult for many Zambians to access and follow news through the mainstream media.

In a statement yesterday, Party national spokesperson Rehoboth Kafwabulula said the Socialist Party was excited to carry citizens along its newest milestone.
The newest milestone, according to Kafwabulula, was the launch of the party newsletter called Monthly Socialist.

The maiden 16 paged edition is out and a copy is free of charge.
Kafwabulula said at the Socialist Party congress held in September last year, the membership made a collective resolution to publish a monthly newsletter detailing the progress of the party and continually sharing its values and perspectives on several issues.

“Today we are pleased to present to you our first issue of this monthly publication. The party leadership will continue to give the necessary guidance to ensure that we fulfill all the congress resolutions and forge ahead to transform our country,” she said.
“The high cost of living makes it difficult for many Zambians to access and follow news through the mainstream media. The masses of our people are therefore left out of the critical day-to-day information provided by the media.”

Kafwabulula indicated that the Socialist Party was forward to sharing its revolutionary agenda and progress in a much broader way henceforth.

“It is with this realisation that we have decided to distribute this monthly newsletter free of charge,” said Kafwabulula.
