Tembo cautions Government over CEC, Zesco

PATRIOTS for Economic Progress (PeP) president Sean Tembo has advised the Government to be careful in the matter surrounding Copperbelt Energy Cooperation and ZESCO.

Tembo says reports indicating that the state has taken over all electricity transmission makes sad reading.

He said the stand-off has been brewing between government and the state-owned operations of copper belt energy.
Tembo said taking over of infrastructure to the exploitation of Zambian companies.

He said that failure to handle the matter carefully had the capacity to affect investor confidence.
Recently, economist Trevor Simumba expressed fear that failure to find an applicable solution could be mistaken for criminality.
