Sassa grant beneficiaries who are still using old cards have just about two months to withdraw all their funds.
Sassa says it will permanently phase out the old cards on 31 September.
By then, all beneficiaries should have the new gold card.
The Social Security Agency says recipients must, however, keep their old card until money reflects on the new one.
