Eskom will be implementing stage 1 and stage 2 loading-shedding on Friday Stage 1 load-shedding will be in effect from 9am to 12 noon with stage 2 taking over until 11pm.
Eskom says they have suffered another setback as they have lost additional capacity from Medupi power station. The power utility says coal and ash handling issues are at the source of the problems today.

In other news- NPA happy with Nicholas Ninow sentence
Nicholas Ninow showed no genuine remorse for raping a 7-year-old girl. That’s according to the North Gauteng High Court, which sentenced him to life behind bars for the rape. He was also handed another five years for drug possession.
There was jubilation from many in court as Ninow was handed the heaviest of sentences. Ninow’s mother and grandmother broke down in tears. The National Prosecuting Authority is satisfied with the outcome. Read more
