Sports Ministry gives some sports green light to begin training

The Sports Ministry has released a list of sports that may stage matches and training, subject to strict guidelines. The keyword is professional, so the list applies to only pro teams and athletes.

Looking at some of the key names, Golf, Cricket and Tennis are among 25 sports, which are allowed to stage matches under strict control.

They are all non-contact sports which include the likes of Rowing and Cycling. There are also 11 codes which have been given the go-ahead to train.

They include two of the big three in Football and Rugby, which has to adhere to strict non-contact methods for now. The likes of Hockey, Basketball and Netball have also cracked the nod.
