Government denies South African Airways further funds

Government has turned down a request from South African Airways’ business rescue practitioners for further funding of R10-billion.

Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan says government will not provide any extra funding for the business rescue.

SAA was placed under business rescue in December. The practitioners are yet to publish their rescue plan.

Actor Pallance Dladla has come out to strongly dismiss reports that claimed he “dumped” Mzansi Magic show Isibaya. This after, Sunday World reported that the actor was the latest cast member to “suddenly leave” just weeks after Nomzamo Mbatha and Menzi Ngubane. In a statement sent to TshisaLIVE, the actor’s manager Wesley Gainer slammed the report.
