Somizi is a Proud son as his mother was honoured #NationalOrders. Are these the Wooo Shemmm moments that Somgaga is always talking about. But who really knows seeing that the Idols SA judge has a dictionary of his own but all the same he is a proud son.
Somizi took to Instagram where he was celebrating his mother Mary Mhlongo Twala. He said: “Proud son. If I can achieve a quarter of what my mom has in the arts I wud have made it.”
In a tweet, the South Africa Presidency said: “The Order of #Ikhamanga is bestowed in SILVER on: MARY MHLONGO TWALA: For her excellent contribution to the performing arts & raising awareness on women’s health issues through storytelling. Her sense of humour & humility have endeared her to the nation at large. #NationalOrders”
Somizi is clearly over the moon with his mother’s achievements and felt he had to share these moments with all of us. Minnie Dlamini is one of the people who commented on the pictures and said – “She is such an inspiration, siyaziqhenya ngaye 🙌🏾”
