Six People injured in Margate collision

KwaZulu-Natal: At 15H41 Wednesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the P200 Izotsha Rd in Margate on the KZN South Coast.

Reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi and a bakkie were involved in a collision.

Six people had sustained minor injuries and were treated on scene before being transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.

In Other News – 145 more COVID-19 deaths recorded in South Africa

The Department of Health reported 1,913 new cases of COVID-19 in the country. The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 685,155.

The death toll now stands at 17,248 after 145 more people died of COVID-19. The department said 42 people died in KwaZulu-Natal, 41 in Gauteng, 24 in Limpopo, 11 in Mpumalanga, eight in the Western Cape, seven in the Northern Cape and one person in the Eastern Cape.

Our recoveries now stand at 618,127 which translates to a recovery rate of 90 per cent.
