But it seems like she might return to her beloved job of 20-years. In 2017, Sindi Dlathu shocked Muvhango fans when she confirmed that she was leaving the show after acting in it for two full decades.
Her role as Thandaza was loved by many and when the news broke that she was separating herself from the production, viewers did not take it easy.
Sindi also confirmed that making the decision to leave Muvhango was a difficult one. “I prayed about it and had sleepless nights. Muvhango was my home for 20 years. But it wasn’t solely my choice to leave – I felt like it was God’s timing.” She once told Drum magazine.
Sindi also mentioned in a statement that she had decided to give the character a break after so many years portraying the character of Thandaza and that she wanted to grow as an artist.
However, in a recent Move Magazine article, it was reported that there is a chance that Thandaza may return to the television series.
The article read: “There is hope that she might make a comeback. Muvhango associate producer, Morishe Matlejoane, says that Sindi’s exit isn’t necessarily permanent, as they have just frozen her character.”
The actress hasn’t mentioned anything about a possible return to the show but has simply said that she is giving her character a break.
