DR CATHY DAVIES RETURNS WITH MORE COMPELLING CASES

FOX Life viewers can look forward to the second season of the popular local reality series, Outpatients, set to premiere on the channel on 2 October, DStv Channel 126. Dr Cathy Davies is back for another round of compelling medical cases which she treats with her unique combination of aesthetic medicine expertise, as well as her huge heart.

The talented Dr Cathy is a medical doctor with a passion for aesthetics, who runs a successful practice in Johannesburg, where she transforms the lives of ordinary people and celebrities alike. With the help of incredible professionals, cutting-edge technology and innovative medicine, she tackles the unique challenges of her patients. Outpatients follows her modern approach to aesthetic procedures through a variety of cases that range from the heart-wrenching to the more cosmetic.

“Aesthetic medicine is about giving patients back their confidence,” says Dr Cathy. “Whether there’s something they wish to alter about their physical appearance that they feel is holding them back, or we have an opportunity to restore their bodies after experiencing life-changing trauma, the effects transcend the purely aesthetic benefits”.

The cases featured in Outpatients are life-changing. From helping victims of scalp injuries, facial paralysis, addiction, dog bite attacks and an acid burn injury, no challenge is too great for this doctor. In this season, after hearing the horrifying tale of triathlete Mhlengi Gwala, who survived a violent attack, Dr Cathy jumps in to help him to return to his sport. Viewers will also get to experience her launching a support group for youngsters suffering from Alopecia, a devastating condition which can cause total hair loss.

On a lighter note, tune in to see how Dr Cathy helps Khanyi Mbau get a little more ‘voluptuous’ and helps a transgender woman boost her femininity with lip fillers. Teaming up with stylish celebrities, she also explores the new technology that has the potential to make armpit sweat a thing of the past.

“From purely aesthetic scenarios to debilitating ailments and injuries, no task is beyond this South African doctor with her determination to make a difference. Viewers will be riveted by the incredible cases that she takes on in this new season” said Evert Van Der Veer, for Media Networks, The Walt Disney Company Africa. The second season of Outpatients will premiere on Wednesday 2 October 2019 on FOX Life (DSTV 126) at 19:55 CAT.
