A Scooter Driver position exists to conduct general deliveries and pick-ups as required by clients and members that utilize our Concierge service.
Responsibilities:
Handle all deliveries and collections of goods/packages/materials/products for the Concierge Desk and/or contracted clients
All information must be obtained from the relevant Concierge Desk Agent before going out on delivery/collection
Ensure that all documents, monies, etc. are correct and in order
All documentation such as waybills, receipts, bills, etc. to be handed over to the receptionists once the delivery or collection has been completed
Communicate with Concierge Desk Agents regarding progress or any delays
All delivery/collection requests must be dealt with in the specified time frames
Load and unload all packages and/or boxes at point of collection and delivery
Check and maintain the condition of the company scooter
Perform simple maintenance if required (such as changing a tyre)
Reporting scooter maintenance problems and scheduled services to the Concierge Supervisor
Ensuring the company scooter is kept clean and tidy at all times
Keep track of all mileage done / petrol usage where necessary
Adherence to all rules of the road (speed limits, road signs and so forth)
Follow all safety regulations and precautions (such as wearing a seatbelt at all times)
Interaction with customers to obtain signatures/receipts/payments
Ad hoc duties as and when required
Required Skills
service delivery : 1 to 2 years
scooter driving : 1 year or less
Candidate Requirements
Technical Knowledge:
Good general knowledge of the Randburg/Johannesburg area, in which the driver will operate
Ability to read and use a road map or GPS system
Soft Skills/Behaviours:
Honesty and complete trustworthiness
Must be able to drive and work in all weather and traffic conditions
Punctual
Good communication skills in English
Good people skills
Presentable at all times
The ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels of management both internally and externally
Competent time management skills
Professional attitude and capability and personal initiative
Ability to work independently
Work from Monday to Friday and the position is available immediately
All applicants must have a valid code A1 scooter driver’s license, contactable references and a clear criminal record (applications without a valid scooter driver’s license will not be considered)
