Sadio Mane sets unique EPL record

After netting a brace in Liverpool’s win over Newcastle United, Sadio Mane created Premier League history after setting a new record.

Mane was in the headlines for different reasons before the international break, but he put all that aside to help the Reds secure a come-from-behind win at Anfield.

The 27-year-old netted a first-half brace in the 3-1 win as the European champions maintained their 100 percent record this season.

In doing so, Mane becomes the first player in Premier League history to go unbeaten in their first 50 home games in the league.

The Senegalese forward has now also scored 18 goals in his last 18 Premier League appearances at Anfield.

Mane sits on four goals in the league this season, three behind Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham.
