SA Lockdown: Chaos in Mitchells Plain as residents clash with Police over food parcels

Angry residents in Mitchells Plain have clashed with police over food parcels. Residents are hungry and furious with the Social Development department for not fulfilling its promise of delivering food parcels to them. Residents hurled stones at police and vowed to stay on the streets until they are given the food parcels.

In other news – Lockdown leaves Omotoso s.e.x trafficking trial in limbo

The lockdown has also impacted the s.e.x trafficking trial of controversial Pastor Timothy Omotoso and two others. The trio was meant to be back in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Tuesday.
