Sweet moments: A look into how SA celebrity couples celebrated their Valentine’s Day

On Sunday, the whole of Mzansi celebrated Valentine’s Day. But for local celebs, it was the Love Olympics as they pulled out all the stops to make it the most memorable day ever.

The publication has compiled a list of some of our favourite Valentine’s Day moments from some of Mzansi’s top celebs.

1. Lerato Kganyago

If it was a competition, the talented media personality would have definitely won this year. The Metro FM host had an intimate dinner for two at the FNB Stadium while being serenaded by one of her favourite artists, award-winning singer Zonke Dikana.


2. Khanyi Mbau

The media personality is head over heels in love with her millionaire boyfriend Kudzai Terrence Mushonga. He showered her with gifts and surprised her with a private performance from a violinist and a saxophonist.

3. Lasizwe

Reality TV star and Youtuber Lasizwe Dambuza, who has been showing off his new man a lot lately, was also showered with gifts and an intimate candlelight dinner.

4. Simz Ngema

The talented actress spoke to the publication and said she had planned a romantic getaway for her and her TV presenter and model bae, Tino. The couple, who welcomed their first child in June last year, said they wanted to just relax and be by themselves. Simz said although there is this specific day that is set to celebrate love, people should not forget to love and embrace one another every day.

5. Musa Mseleku

The reality TV star and polygamist told the People’s Paper he spent the day with his wives and children. As he has a busy schedule and is always away, some quality time with his family is a gift on its own.

The assassination attempt leaves two other artists in a critical condition!  Internationally renowned Amapiano king DJ Maphorisa survived an assassination plot when hitmen opened fire at his luxury vehicle in Gauteng on Monday night and critically injured two of his artists.
