Sipho Makhabane – I’m ready to be a pastor

Although he can preach, gospel star Sipho “Big Fish” Makhabane said it was not yet time for him to become a pastor. He said he was waiting for God’s voice to guide him. Big Fish told Daily Sun being a pastor was a calling. He said God had not yet spoken to him
At the moment I preach, motivate and sing when I’m invited to churches or events.

He said many people recognised him as a pastor, even though he was not one.
He said it was better for him to stay at home in White River, Mpumalanga, and continue to develop up-and-coming artists.

Some of the artists he’d discovered included Shongwe and Khuphuka Saved Group from Eswatini, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Thobekile Mkhwanazi as well as Israel Mosehla.

Big Fish said he’d continue to discover talent all over Africa. I want to develop young people and leave a legacy so when I’m gone, people will say there was a man who changed the lives of young musicians in the country,” he said.

Big Fish said he’d launch the Pre-Easter Prayer and Gospel Festival at Mbombela Stadium on Friday. He’d also release his 35th album, Wathi Eloyi Eloyi, next month. He said he featured Israel Mosehla, Takie Ndou and Mxolisi Mbethe on the album.
