The R30 million price tag for striker Peter Shalulile has been lamented back home in Namibia.

With interest mounting in the forward as he had been scoring goals for Highlands Park prior to suspension of football in the country due to the Coronavirus pandemic in March, the Gauteng-based club has priced the Namibian forward at a whopping R30 million.

Former Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United striker Rudolf Bester has lamented the high price tag on his countryman.

“If you look at their asking price, no club will currently afford that money and I don’t know why the club is asking such a huge amount for the player. Maybe it’s good, maybe it’s bad, I don’t know at this point,” Bester told Namibian publication New Era Sport.

“At 27, Peter is not getting any younger and a big money move will be great for his career but with that N$30 million price tag, I doubt if he will go anywhere very soon,” said the ex-Free State Stars player.

SAFA have taken the decision to conclude the SAFA National Women’s League season, handing Mamelodi Sundowns the title.

Football in South Africa has been suspended since March after the country went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Premier Soccer League teams have been given the green light to return to training, although there has been no official return date given yet.
