Police and protesters clashed outside the Piet Retief Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
This as the case of the five suspects allegedly involved in the killing of the Coka brothers takes place.
Zenzele and Mgcini Coka were shot dead during an altercation on 9 April.
The accused have all denied shooting the pair and are applying for bail.
The suspects are facing two charges of murder, defeating the ends of justice, kidnapping, and attempted murder.
The Coka brothers’ family is also attending court proceedings.
Their killing has sparked outrage in the community of Mkhondo.
