Palesa Morgan will be walking down the aisle one of these days. The 26-year-old model, who is engaged to South African television and radio personality Phat Joe, has opened up about her life on her YouTube channel.
In her ‘get to know me’ video, the bride-to-be spoke about her family, studies, fashion of course, her upcoming wedding. One of her followers asked if she’s ready to get married young.
Responding to the question, Palesa said: “Yes, I am ready to get married young. Second, I don’t think there’s like an age that you should have mapped in your head that you should… If you wanna be married young you have to obviously just know yourself really well, be confident in who you are, but also, be willing to go through the changes of life and be accommodating of others…”
This is not the first time the couple is addressing the age question. In an interview on Real Talk a few months ago, Phat Joe, who is in his 40s, told Azania Mosaka about the age gap: “I did not know she was that young. So like, remember I told you we spent everyday together, and then one day I asked her how old she was, I was like, ‘what?’ I had to think about it, I’m sure she had to think about it, but I was like, ‘there’s not thinking necessary ’cause she’s so mature… She always says she’s like an old soul. Even when you hang around her, all her friends are a lot older than her…”
In the same interview, the former RGB host described Palesa as an amazing, smart and intelligent person. “It’s very rare that you meet somebody that echoes your own thoughts. So, it’s like, whatever I say – it’s not that we compete each other’s thoughts – we’re so in agreement on so many that very little has to be said and spoken about. Half the time we just spend our time laughing at all the things we agree about, and like how crazy the world is and how people are.
