Gauteng: At 21H33 Sunday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N17 near Rand Airport in Germiston.
Reports from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle had struck two pedestrians crossing the road.
The impact resulted in the vehicle rolling several times into a veld coming to rest in a ditch.
When medics assessed the patients they found that both the pedestrians, adult males believed to be in their mid-thirties had sustained fatal injuries were both declared deceased on the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, an adult male had sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise him.
The passenger of the vehicle, an adult female sustained moderate injuries in the rollover.
They were both treated on the scene and once stabilised were transported by Netcare 911 ambulance as well as government ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
