Ozzy Osbourne hospitalised after suffering ‘flu complications

Veteran rocker Ozzy Osbourne, who’s recently been struggling with a string of health issues, has been hospitalised.

Wife Sharon Osbourne took to Twitter on Wednesday to share the news that the Crazy Train singer has been hospitalised.

“As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu,” the former X Factor judge tweeted.

“His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love.”
But this isn’t the first time The Prince of Darkness has been hospitalised.

In October last year, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following a bacterial infection in his thumb, which later necessitated surgery, US Weekly reports.

“Feeling better after surgery,” Ozzy captioned an Instagram photo of himself. “Ice cream helps.”

The 70-year-old rock star was also forced to postpone his European tour last month after developing an upper respiratory tract infection, which doctors warned could turn into pneumonia, Fox News reports.

“I’m completely devastated for having to postpone the European leg of my tour,” Ozzy said in a statement.

“It just seems that since October everything I touch has turned to s**t.

“First the staph infection in my thumb and now coming down with the flu and bronchitis,” he continued.

“I want to apologize to all of my fans who have been so loyal over the years, my band, my crew and to Judas Priest for letting you all down.

“However, I promise the tour with Judas Priest will be completed. It’s being rescheduled right now to start in September. Again, I apologize to everyone. God Bless. Love you all, Ozzy.”
