Orlando Stadium to host Bafana friendlies

The South African Football Association (SAFA) has announced that Orlando Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg, will host Bafana Bafana’s two international friendly matches against Namibia and DR Congo next month.

Coach Hugo Broos’s charges host Namibia on 9 September (kick-off is at 3pm) and DR Congo on 12 September (5pm) in matches that are part of the preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast in January next year, and for the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers in November.

Broos named a 36-member preliminary squad for the two international friendly matches a few days ago and will trim it to 23 players on Wednesday when he announces his final list.

The tickets for the two matches are sold at all TicketPro outlets, including selected Total Energies garages, Sasol Garages, Caltex and Power Fashion. They will be sold at R50 all around.
